Skeleton Bride & Groom (Mary & Kyle)
Halloween Wedding Reception • Pittsburgh, PA
For Mary and Kyle’s Halloween wedding reception, I created a pair of cinematic, editorial-style skeleton transformations that balanced spooky, romantic, and high-fashion alternative bridal energy. Their vision was bold: dead, detailed, black-and-white skeletons with texture, depth, and a matching aesthetic — a true modern alternative couple choosing art over tradition.
I traveled on-site to get them ready, starting with Kyle’s full-head skeleton design, created with crisp bone structure, dimensional shading, and textured detailing that read beautifully both in person and in photos. His transformation took about 30–45 minutes, and the design remained sharp through dancing, heat, and a full night inside a packed reception. (Let’s just say… the makeup wasn’t the only thing dead by midnight.)
Mary’s transformation was a full editorial moment — face, neck, chest, arms, and back, designed to mirror Kyle’s look while staying elevated and bridal. Her application, completed in 45–60 minutes, featured striking bone contouring, layered texture, and clean black-and-white contrast using EBA Performance Makeup and ProAiir hybrid formulas for maximum durability.
Throughout the entire reception, their makeup held up flawlessly — through photos, hugs, dancing, heat, champagne, and all the beautiful chaos of a Halloween celebration.
This project showcases my ability to create:
High-end editorial skeleton designs
Matching couple looks for weddings & events
Durable, full-body airbrush makeup built to last all night
Modern alternative bridal artistry
On-site wedding day transformations
For creative couples, themed weddings, Halloween receptions, and alternative bridal portraits, this transformation is a beautiful example of how artistic vision and professional makeup execution can turn a wedding into an unforgettable immersive experience.
